Agency History
The Ark is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that officially incorporated 2023. The Ark provides mobile crisis response services to individuals experiencing homelessness and domestic violence, serving both men and women with compassion and dignity. But our mission extends beyond immediate crisis intervention. We believe that true healing includes access to economic opportunity, education, and professional development.
That’s why we launched The Creative Corner at The Ark—a dynamic in-house initiative that offers free consulting, training, and technical support to small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community builders who often face barriers to entry in public-sector and corporate markets.
Formerly known as Writers Corner, this department began as a small marketing support hub offering affordable design and writing services. Today, The Creative Corner remains rooted in that same spirit of service—now providing no-cost technical writing, grant development, procurement training, and marketing guidance to:
